Spreading the word on the buses

On the bus to work yesterday, I was disturbed as usual by the cacophony coming from the TV. It appeared to be some melodramatic soap opera about a young man in a coma and his distraught mother. It caught my attention because much of the dialogue was in very bad English.

At first I thought it was some sort of bizarre RTHK production, but the script and acting were horrendous even by its standards.

Then I noticed that God was being referred to a lot, and I began to cringe with embarrassment as I realised that this was some form of Christian recruitment campaign.

I felt so moved that I had to stand up and declare to my fellow passengers: 'Although I am a Christian, please do not assume that I have anything to do with [this] . . .'
