There has been a slight improvement in the coral reef coverage in Hong Kong waters, a government survey has found. A three-month coral reef check found coverage in 19 sites ranged from 23.1 to 71.9 per cent. Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park had the highest coverage, while Lai Chi Wo, Wong Chuk Kok Hoi, A Ma Wan in Ping Chau, Bluff Island, Pak Lap Tsai, Kat O, Yung Kok, and Double Island had an average coverage of more than 50 per cent.
