Engine link up


Korean Air has partnered with Honeywell, the world's largest supplier of aircraft engines, equipment and systems, on avionics integration in South Korea. Suh Sang-mook, managing vice-president of Korean Air's aerospace division and Carl Baerst, president of the Asia-Pacific region for Honeywell, signed a memorandum of understanding on October 17 at the Seoul Air Show to modernise operating aircraft used for civilian and military purposes in Korea. www.koreanair.com

Load results


Continental Airlines reported a 71.3 per cent domestic and 56.3 per cent international load factor for a system-wide load factor of 65.5 per cent. The system-wide load factor is 13.2 points above the figure reported for the last two weeks in September and 5.5 points below the data for the same period a year earlier. The domestic load factor is 1.3 points higher than for the same period last year, although 189 per cent less capacity.

Services resume


American Airlines has resumed daily non-stop services at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. They include services to Miami and St Louis flown by TWA. American will serve the Washington-St Louis route with three non-stops daily, increasing the service to six flights a day on December 2.
