Hunt to resume for sailor after cargo ship collision

A sea and air search will resume today for a mainland seaman, 30, who went missing after a cargo ship collided with a fishing trawler south of Tsing Yi in the early hours yesterday. Eight other crew members from the cargo ship were rescued by fishermen.


Marine police said the ship, which was carrying bricks, was on its way to Shanghai from Guangzhou when the accident happened at 2am. Rescuers called of a search for the seaman at 6pm.
