CHIEF Secretary Sir David Ford yesterday praised the annual summer youth programme (SYP), which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. More than 1.5 million young people are expected to join in the 14,000 activities planned for this year, at a cost of $39 million. About 1,000 people were invited to a two-hour variety show after the opening ceremony yesterday, organised by Radio Television Hongkong. The show will be screened on TVB Jade on Friday at 10.20 pm.
