THE competition for commercial advertising in Hongkong has increased yet again with the upgrade to full colour of the third issue of Business 2 Business magazine.

Publisher and editor-in-chief Shaun Bowers has ambitious plans to expand the monthly, free-distribution magazine even further, with the goal of ultimately offering full regional coverage.

The effective re-launch comes on the heels of a readership survey conducted after publication of the first two issues.

''The revamp includes a greater focus on topical editorial content, and reflects our determination to make this a magazine that people will actually want to read, and then keep for reference,'' said Mr Bowers.

''In practice, on the editorial side, this means establishing regular articles, such as the clippings pages of short news items, two business-related features, a celebrity profile, such as the one on Nury Vittachi in the re-launch issue, and a humorous piece at the back.'' Current advertising rates range from $405 for the smallest black and white entry to a maximum of $7,500 for the prime positions.

A black and white full page is $3,600, and a colour full page, $5,300.
