Company law revised

The Government today will gazette the Companies (Amendment) Bill 2002, which seeks to improve corporate governance standards and to make company law more business-friendly. The bill will be introduced into the Legislative Council on January 30. The proposed changes aim at enhance corporate disclosure and transparency, as well as areas to protect shareholders' rights.
