Murder inquiry opened after body found on staircase

Police have classified as murder the death of a woman, 54, whose body was found on a staircase in a building in To Kwa Wan Road yesterday. She was identified as Or Oi-chu.

Officers said marks on her body suggested she had been bound and gagged, although no ropes were found. In a separate case, a 56-year-old man was found dead with head injuries on the roof of a building in Carnarvon Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.
