Cyclist critical, five others hurt on roads

Six people were hurt, two seriously, in four separate accidents early yesterday.

A 36-year-old cyclist was critically hurt when she was hit from behind by a car and a minibus on Nathan Road, Mongkok.

A car overturned at the eastbound exit of the Kai Tak tunnel in Kowloon Bay, seriously injuring the driver, 31.

The driver of a Jeep travelling eastwards on Eastern Corridor near Taikoo Shing lost control and the vehicle overturned. The 28-year-old and two passengers suffered minor injuries. The driver failed a breathalyser test.

The driver of a street-cleaning vehicle was slightly injured when it flipped over on the Gascoigne Road flyover.
