Duped by sound bites

If George W. Bush really wants to rid the world of 'terrorism' he could do so quite successfully, instead of wasting billions more of his nation's money on pleasing his election supporters, the weapons manufacturers.

Instead of making more enemies whom he renames 'terrorists', he could try making friends with those countries where he and his predecessors in Washington have been sowing hatred. A good place to start would be Palestine, where for more than half a century US governments have been supporting a few terrorists with weapons, against angry, deprived and robbed Arabs armed almost entirely with stones.

Why are so many American people so gullible that they believe that spending money on the destruction of innocent people brings power, prosperity and glory to their country?

Can they not see that they are making future trouble for themselves?

Is it because too many of them listen to and believe only the sound bites of their biased, power-owned media instead of reading the true facts of their recent history from patriotic writers with consciences?
