BRITISH HAIR SALON Tony&Guy stayed true to its creative roots and turned its opening party into a black and white photo competition. With entrants consisting of some of Hong Kong's top photographers, including Ringo Tang, Marcus Oleniuk and Timon Wehrli (the latter two tied for the winning snap), guests at the event ranged from British Consul-General Sir James Hodge, party-boy hairstylist Justin Paul Chambers (from competing salon Ken Qi) and model Vanessa Yeung.

Swish Wyndham Street restaurant and bar Alibi catered for the salon's event while co-owners Patrick Chu, formerly of hair salons Private I and Beijing Hair Culture, and Susan Roberts from Tony&Guy London tended to their guests and anyone else who had spilled on to the street.
