China's Li Jiajun has won a silver medal in the men's 1,500 metres short-track speedskating event at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
The gold went to Apolo Anton Ohno from the United States, while Canadian Marc Gagnon took the bronze.
China were also second best in the women's 3,000 m short-track relay, as the South Koreans won the gold medal. The Chinese, including Olympic 500 m gold medallist Yang Yang (A), were pipped at the finish line by half a second by the Koreans, who set a new world and Olympic record.
Cordia Tsoi Po-yee of Hong Kong finished her individual 1,000 m heat in third place, ahead of Erin Porter of the US, and only just failed to qualify for the quarter-finals, recording a time of one minute, 48 seconds. Christy Ren finished last in her heat with a time of one min, 50 secs.
