I would like to thank C.Y. Lam ('Hark . . . it's a koel,' South China Morning Post, February 26) for finally identifying the creature that has been waking up myself and other residents, in Bonham Road and High Street, as early as 4:30am since mid-January. This particular member of the koel family is either oversexed or its body clock is in need of some severe maintenance. Perhaps it might decide to fly elsewhere. I live in hope.
