AsiaSat registers decline

Regional satellite operator Asia Satellite said net profit fell 2 per cent to HK$562.98 million on turnover of HK$969.45 million for the year to December 31 last year. The result was at the top end of market expectations. The overall transponder utilisation rate for AsiaSat 2 and AsiaSat 3C was maintained at 65 per cent.
