Parking crackdown long overdue

I AM concerned about unauthorised parking at the entrance of car park No 1 of Kwong Yuen Estate, Sha Tin.

The road is narrow and one of the lanes is always blocked by some unauthorised parked vehicles.

Vans and lorries also park at the entrance to the market.

Vans making deliveries to the market park in the middle of the road.

Sometimes they block the entrance and exit to the car park and this stops cars from getting out.

There is also a lot of unauthorised parking beside the bus terminus and the taxi rank, especially between 8 pm and 8 am. Taxis park at the rank, and then the drivers just leave them there unattended.

All this unauthorised parking should be prohibited by the Royal Hongkong Police.

Taxis should not be exempt from this crackdown.

I do hope the relevant authority will look into this matter and take appropriate action immediately.
