Staff and past and present students of the SAR's four True Light schools retraced their schools' roots to Guangzhou on a four-day trip to mark their 130th anniversary during the Easter holidays.
More than 200 participants from Kowloon True Light Middle School, The True Light Middle School of Hong Kong, True Light Girls' College and Hong Kong True Light College went on the visit.
On the mainland, the participants visited Pak Hok Tung Guangzhou True Light Middle School, Chang Di True Light Middle School and True Light Primary School.
The visitors learned about former students' experiences during the Japanese occupation, when the mother school was forced to move north. They also gained insight into traditions at the mother school.
Older members of the True Light family reflected back on their school days with nostalgia, while younger members took pride in the schools' development.
