A former police constable has won his fight to be reinstated. Mr Justice Michael Hartmann ruled in the Court of First Instance the decision by a disciplinary officer in March last year to compulsorily retire Kam Wai-hung breached the principle of fairness. Mr Kam initially faced a severe reprimand and was placed on probation after pleading guilty before a police disciplinary tribunal to 25 counts of unauthorised use of a police computer.
