Two jobless women were allegedly caught smuggling 180 new mobile phones into the mainland from Hong Kong. The pair, 37 and 44, were stopped by Customs officers at the China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui when they were about to board a mainland-bound catamaran to Shunde in Guangdong. Officers said that the two women had the handsets strapped to their waists and legs. They have been released on bail. The consignment was worth about $380,000.
