A futures contract based on the Dow Jones Industrial Average is to make its Hong Kong debut today.

The market addition, which marks the first time the United States blue-chip futures are being traded outside the US, will be dealt at HK$10 per index point with an initial margin of $6,375 per contract.

The offering is the latest exchange initiative to diversify products to reflect a global spectrum.
