Go-ahead given to reopen chicken farm in Kam Tin

Officials yesterday approved the reopening of a chicken farm in Kam Tin, closed in February because of a bird-flu outbreak. Inspectors said they were satisfied with the hygiene conditions after the farmer carried out disinfection.

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department said other farms nearby are also expected to re-open soon.
