Man, 77, 'chops wife in dole row'

A 77-year-old dole recipient was arrested last night for allegedly chopping his wife in their Sau Mau Ping home after accusing her of spending all this month's $5,000 payment. Police said the man attacked his 55-year-old wife on the head and legs in their flat on the Shun On Estate. She was admitted to United Christian Hospital in a serious condition.
