Never-ending project

I am looking forward to the new accountability system being introduced in the SAR Government.

When it comes into force who will take responsibility for the completion of roadworks on time? In the past decade I have not seen one day go by with no roadworks on Pokfulam, Sassoon and Victoria roads.

Also the signage telling us the completion date is an insult to our intelligence. The date on the sign passes without the roadworks being completed and is replaced by a new date. When I spoke to an engineer involved in the project and asked him about these new dates, he said it was a complicated project.

Hong Kong was able to build a new airport with all the 'trimmings' in less time than it is taking to complete these works.
