Considering she once wore micro shorts and painted her legs gold for one of her concerts, it came as a surprise to hear Karen Mok telling an audience at a recent Child Sexual Abuse Foundation function that it's your charm, not your outfit, that captures people's attention.

Hair: 'The Headquarters salon, which sponsors me, has good stylists who always know how I want my hair. It is very long and knots easily, so I use Lux shampoo and Nicky Clarke conditioner.'

Skin care: 'I like using aroma oil to soften and moisturise my skin.'

Accessories: 'This is a Charles Jordan watch. I like wearing different accessories for different occasions, and buying traditional accessories when abroad. I bought quite a few bracelets and necklaces when I was working in Tibet recently.'
