A suspected triad member was fighting for life in hospital and two other triad suspects were treated for chop wounds after being ambushed by a gang of masked men in Fanling.

The three suspected members of the Wo Shing Wo triad society, aged between 17 and 32, were attacked outside a games centre in Wo Fung Street at about 11.30pm on Sunday. Investigators said two cars arrived and eight or nine knife-wielding men jumped out and launched the attack. They fled before police arrived. The victims were taken to North District Hospital, where the 19-year-old man was in a critical condition. The other two were stable.
