Give Macau horses new home in Mongolia

I am appalled by the reports in the Sunday Morning Post of racehorses being shot in Macau.

My Australian grandfather's family were prominent in horse racing. I have great respect for these beautiful animals. They should not be killed because they cannot win a race.

Recently I visited Outer Mongolia where there are huge herds of wild horses.

Why couldn't the horses be released there, and have a chance of survival.

The nomadic people capture horses and tame them for domestic use. Alternatively, the horses could be given to the Mongolians, which would be a wonderful gift.
