About 30 World War II victims and supporters yesterday marched to the Japanese Consulate to protest at what they see as the rise of militarism and the country's refusal to honour wartime Japanese-issued currency used in Hong Kong.
The annual protest marked the so-called Marco Polo Incident of 1937, when Chinese and Japanese troops traded gunfire near Beijing, leading to Japan's invasion of China.
