Wu takes tenpin bronze

Pattaya: Hong Kong's tenpin bowling prodigy Wu Siu-hong captured a bronze medal in the boys' singles at the World Youth Championships, gaining a confidence-booster for next month's Pusan Asian Games, writes Aries Chow. Wu came off with a podium finish in a field of 107 bowlers, averaging 217 after scoring 1,301 points in six games. Yannaphon Larpaphart of the hosts won the gold on 1,369 points while Australian Jarrod Lean registered 1,305 points to win the silver.
