In his letter to these columns on August 5, Nicholas Bryan-Brown sympathised with the misery caused Israelis by terrorism.
However, he said no amount of terrorist atrocities against Jews could justify the Israeli attack on Hamas leader Salah Shehada in Gaza which resulted in many civilians being killed or injured. I believe it was reckless of this Hamas activist to endanger his family and neighbours by staying in a Gaza residential block. He should have known better.
If attacks on public places occurred in Hong Kong similar to those we have seen in Israel on an almost daily basis, I, for one, would demand that our government do everything in its power to eliminate the problem and am sure that I would not be alone in making such an appeal.
