17 years' jail for drugs haul

A mainlander, 37, was jailed for 17 years yesterday after being caught with almost $16 million worth of heroin. Cheng Tak-kuen pleaded guilty in the Court of First Instance to two counts of trafficking and one of possession of a dangerous drug. The court heard that Cheng was found with two packages containing 11.1kg of heroin, 10.47 grams of Ice and 0.26 grams of cannabis.
