A police negotiator talked a man, 21, down from the roof of a public housing block in Sau Mau Ping after a three-hour standoff with police and firemen. Police said the man ran to the roof of Tin Lok House, Shun Tin Estate, and threatened to jump at about 2.30am after his ex-girlfriend refused to meet him. He came down at about 5.30am and was sent to United Christian Hospital for a check-up.
