Air pollution: you have your say

I am writing to you as a very concerned mother of four healthy and happy children aged from two to 12. I have seen some scary findings that asthma has increased in children by 38.9 per cent. I do understand that outdoor pollution is to blame - however, I was shocked to learn that a lot of buildings as well as schools have high indoor pollution levels.

I believe that parents have the right to expect that the schools attended by their children have a clean and healthy environment. Furthermore, I believe it is also our right to ask for 'official tests' to be initiated by the Education Department, with copies of such tests being shown to parents to ensure that school buildings are 'environmentally safe'. After all, our children are our future.
