Dream Of Rotten Life


A multimedia variety show about a group of male and female prostitutes who stay in an apartment on Nathan Road. They lounge around the flat awaiting calls from their clients in Lan Kwai Fong - from DJs to flight attendants and politicians. The show is performed in English and Cantonese. Tonight-Sat , 8pm. The Importance Of Being Earnest


The Hong Kong Players present Oscar Wilde's subversive comedy about the hypocrisy of Victorian values. Katarina Monnier


Abstract landscapes by the French artist Katarina Monnier. She paints with harmonic colours as prescribed by Goethe in his Theory Of Colour of 1810 (taking two complementary colours which increase in intensity when viewed together). Life Drawing


Martine Beale launches a course of life drawing sessions without instruction at the Fringe Club this weekend. She provides the model and the space for an eight-week run. Sat, 12pm-2pm. There is also a course on Monday evenings from 7pm-9pm, starting Oct 7, at Flow on Lyndhurst Terrace. The Mysterious Origin Of The English Apple


The University Of Oxford's Dr Barrie Juniper gives a lecture organised by the Royal Geographical Society (RGSHK) today entitled 'The Mysterious Origin Of The English Apple - From China To The World'. Juniper traces the apple's origin from the inaccessible Tien Shan mountain range in China where the apple originally grew just to the size of a berry, to its position now as one of the world's most popular fruits.
