Next season's eye-opening new look? Judging by the innovations at Kim Robinson's new Chater House hairdressers, it going to be invisibility-chic.

The purpose-built, $3,000-per-do salon has no public area, no open-to-the-street windows and no communal areas - just 12 private booths and a lift that takes business babes and tai tais directly into Chater House's underground private car park.

Social climbers used to be seen in all the right places. Now, it seems, the trick is not to be seen at all.
