A 46-year-old woman cut the foreskin of her boyfriend's penis with a pair of scissors after he said he wanted to leave her, a court heard yesterday.
Chan Lai-ching cut her 30-year-old boyfriend, Lai Kwok-fai, after they had sex and Mr Lai said he wanted to end their seven-year relationship, prosecutor Salim Hoosen told the District Court.
Mr Hoosen said Mr Lai was awoken by the attack at his home in Shun Tin Estate, Sau Mau Ping, and cried out in pain.
Mr Lai's cries alerted his father and brother and the police were called. Chan apologised for the attack and was later arrested.
Chan pleaded not guilty to one count of wounding with intent.
Testifying in court yesterday, Mr Lai said he was in hospital for a week and had undergone an operation requiring 11 stitches. It took two weeks to recover from the injury, he said.
