Odense, Denmark: Asian Games champion Rebecca Chiu Wing-yin and teammate Christina Mak Wai-ying won both their rubbers to help Hong Kong qualify for the playoffs for the ninth-16th placings in the World Women's Squash Team Championship. Hong Kong's 3-0 win over minnows Austria and a 2-1 triumph over the US hours later meant they finished third in Pool D, behind pool winners Egypt and Scotland, and will take on Spain, who came fourth in Pool A, in today's playoff for the minor positions. Egypt and Scotland qualified for the quarter-finals, which comprise the top two finishers in each pool.
