Hong Kong people have a chance to show their support for the people of Bali thanks to a unique charity effort. One hundred luxury holiday packages - generously donated by Cathay Pacific and the Grand Hyatt Bali - will be sold to raise money for the Balinese victims of the Kuta bombings, at a special charity cocktail night at Wyndham Street's Alibi bar and restaurant on November 25.
'Local victims of the bomb need help now,' said co-chairwoman Nichole Garnaut. 'Our aim is to raise money fast and get visitors back to Bali quickly.'
The charity, called Friends Of Bali, hopes to raise $1 million. Sixty economy-class air tickets with three nights at the Grand Hyatt Bali will cost $5,500 for singles and $5,000 per person for twin share. Forty business-class air tickets with Grand Hyatt executive suites will sell for $10,000 for singles and $8,000 per person for twin share.
