It's a small world: Lonely Planet's succinct series of pocket-sized city guides now numbers 33, the latest being Singapore, Los Angeles and San Francisco ($120). The slim volumes feature handy laminated maps which pull out of the inside and back covers, and easy-flick, colour-coded categories covering all the travel basics - highlights, sights, shopping, dining, entertainment and accommodation. Other new LP guides this month focus on the Antipodes, covering East Coast Australia ($203) and Diving & Snorkelling New Zealand ($173).
