Powder play is all for show

A new 'drug' craze is sweeping Britain and seems likely to hit Hong Kong. 'Foke', or fake coke, is a powder that looks like cocaine but has no effect. Users buy it for the supposed glamour of chopping out lines and snorting them conspicuously at parties. 'Foke costs #5 (HK$62) a gram,' according to gossip site Popbitch.com. 'Local dealers say they sell out of supplies every night.' When SAR asked several party people whether they thought Foke may catch on in Hong Kong, most said it was already here, it just sold for a lot more.
