November 13, 2002: Chan Lai-ching, 47, is jailed for two years and nine months for cutting off the foreskin of her boyfriend's penis with a pair of scissors after he said he wanted to leave her.

August 17, 2002: Li Suet-ping, 50, is jailed for life for murdering her husband by pouring boiling oil over his head and stabbing him 16 times at their Tseung Kwan O home on January 5, 2001. She also injected him with insulin and wrapped his head in 17 layers of plastic.

August 9, 2002: Poon Shuk-yee, 27, is jailed for more than four years for severing her boyfriend's penis with a paper cutter when he tried to end their relationship.

December 4, 2001: Lam Yuk-kam, 42, is released after nine months in prison for cutting off her two-timing husband's penis. She was freed after a plea for leniency from her spouse, who had to undergo an operation to reattach his penis.

June 13, 2001: Pang Sau-chu, 28, is jailed for 10 months for splashing boiling oil on her husband's face on October 15, 2000 because she thought he was hiding their four-year-old son.

March 20,1999: A 62-year-old chopped her 58-year-old husband on his forehead after he reportedly refused to find a good doctor to treat her lung problem.
