I WOULD like to refer to the article ''Nations ready to offer passports for sale in Hong Kong'' (South China Morning Post, July 26), where it mentioned Peru, among other countries, and included a statement by our Honorary Consul, Humberto Wu. This statement unfortunately has been misunderstood since the Peruvian Government has not sold and will not sell either passports or Peruvian citizenship.

The migration-investment programme of Peru, has been improved in order to promote foreign investment for all those companies interested in contributing capital and technology in our country.
