GUY HAT-TRICK LIFTS VALLEY UP LADDER

A hat-trick from midfielder Cameroon's Gerard Ambassa Guy in Happy Valley's 5-1 thrashing of minnows Double Flowers in yesterday's First Division clash at Mongkok helped his team move to third and keep up the pressure on league leaders Buler Rangers and Sun Hei, who moved to second after beating HKFC 3-2 at the same venue yesterday. Guy gave his team the lead after netting late in the first half before leading the team's routing in the second half. His next two goals, along with Lee Wai-man's header and Shum Kwok-keung's strike in the second half, wrapped up a epic victory although Double Flowers' Lam Ka-wai had narrowed to scoreline to 3-1.
