Beacon Hill stands alone

Despite the suggestion in the letter 'New face may be what's needed', relating to Beacon Hill School (Education Post November 16), I am proud to say that I am a former student. I am astonished that some people can look down on this school in such a way. The things I learnt at Beacon Hill are an advantage to me in my classes now. How can you compare other schools with this one? Each school has it's own individuality. Having been at the school for five years, I have found no fault with it. A few days is not like being a student there for five years. I respect Mr Lyden's decision but I believe many like myself will miss him very much.
