FCC shanghaied by thrifty scribes

At last, a reason to 'relocate' to Shanghai. The northern city has opened a Foreign Correspondents' Club. It doesn't yet have a home, but that doesn't matter. Membership is only 400 yuan (about HK$380) a year and it has reciprocal rights with Hong Kong's luxurious branch, where membership runs at around HK$12,000 a year.

SAR hears penny-pinching journalists have been 'moving' to Shanghai, signing up and then flying back to Hong Kong for a drink in more salubrious surroundings.
