The offices of JP Morgan turned into a sea of red when staff donned Santa hats this week to raise $50,000 for Operation Santa Claus.

The 'Dress Santa Day' sum will be added to the bank's corporate donation of $100,000, which will go to the Pathways Foundation to help children with specific learning disabilities.

The chairman of JP Morgan Asia Pacific, Ralph Parks, has long been a supporter of such children. He set up a school for children with learning difficulties in the United States in 1996.

Andrew Kuo Ming-jian, JP Morgan Hong Kong Senior Country Officer, said: 'Our employees are always keen to support organisations such as Pathways, which truly helps local children and their families.'

Donations of $13,400 arrived yesterday. Special thanks to the Chinese International School. Thanks also to Mr and Mrs William Wade and Anthony Choy.

Donations can be made by contacting the Operation Santa Claus office on 2251 1550, or by sending a cheque payable to Operation Santa Claus 2002, Bank of China Tower, Level 25, 1 Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.
