Television Broadcasting (TVB) is committed to selling its 51 per cent stake in its pay-TV arm Galaxy by next month's deadline, instead of seeking another extension. As a condition for receiving a pay-TV licence in February 2000, regulators demanded TVB reduce its stake in Galaxy to 50 per cent or less by June 2002. TVB later had the deadline extended to February 28 this year.
