Bloomberg secures mainland TV rights

Bloomberg Television has become the third foreign broadcaster in as many days to be granted coveted 'nationwide' broadcasting rights on the mainland.

The State Administration for Radio, Film and Television has given Bloomberg Television the right to broadcast its Asia news channel to luxury hotels and diplomatic residences and other

specially designated compounds on the mainland.

It was reported this week that Rupert Murdoch's Star TV and Pheonix Satellite Television had also been given approval to broadcast there.
