Organisers yesterday warned fans to buy their tickets early for this year's tournament. An estimated 26,000 tickets will go on sale for both local and overseas fans. Online sales, through www.hksevens.com.hk, began yesterday. Tickets were sold out last year well before the tournament began. 'With England defending their title this year, we anticipate a strong demand for tickets from the UK. I would recommend everyone in Hong Kong to get their tickets early,' said Allan Payne, HKRFU executive director.

Since the Hong Kong Sevens started selling tickets online, there is no clear demarcation of tickets for overseas buyers and the local public. 'There is no strict allocation of tickets since we started selling on the web. Tickets are available to all,' said Payne.

'Approximately 26,000 tickets are available for fans here and abroad. This is after our corporate allocation,' revealed HKRFU chairman John Molloy. The Hong Kong Stadium capacity is 40,000. Tickets can also be purchased at Shop 102, 1/F, Landmark and No. 1, Lan Kwai Fong, Central, from March 4. The prices remain the same as last year, with an adult ticket costing $750 and $250 for children up to the age of 12.
