Action-packed classic

THE LATEST James Bond movie offers everything you would expect from a 007 flick, but don't expect anything more.

The plot of Die Another Day is not as adventurous as the secret agent himself. All you need to know is that Bond will be your tour guide through Iceland, Havana, London and even Hong Kong.

Hardcore Bond fans will find the film worth every penny as all the classic Bond movie elements are there. It's non-stop action. Only 10 minutes of the film are explosion-free, and all the action scenes are packed with fancy gadgets and Bond girls.

Although realism is never the main concern of James Bond movies, it seems that Die Another Day has gone a bit too far.

Watching Bond surf on a piece of scrap metal on a tidal wave caused by a melting glacier or make himself invisible in his latest spy car, I wondered whether our British agent had been at school with Harry Potter. My suspicion was further fuelled when I saw Bond use his wand - disguised as a regular wristwatch - to blow things up.

Die Another Day opens on Thursday.
