Hutchison Whampoa, one of Hong Kong’s largest listed companies, is controlled by  Cheung Kong Group, a property company. Hutchison's operations span ports, property and hotels, retailing, power generation and telecommunications. It owns Cheung Kong Infrastructure, and  is headed by Li Ka-shing, Asia’s wealthiest man.

Kevin Sun


Director of development


The Marco Polo Hotel Group


Mr Sun will be responsible for identifying new hotel opportunities for the group in the Asia-Pacific with the focus on China. Other development targets include the major gateways and emerging secondary cities throughout the region. He joins the group with a wealth of hospitality experience in development, sales and hotel operations. He was previously with Cheung Kong (Holdings), Hyatt International and Westin Hotels & Resorts.


Stephen Cheng

With 12 years' experience in equity sales and research, Mr Cheng joins the firm from SG Securities in Hong Kong. Before this, he was a key member of the Hong Kong/China sales team of UBS Warburg and has been ranked in the Top 5 for Sales in Asiamoney 's broker poll.


Benjamin Wong

Mr Wong, based in Hong Kong, will be responsible for growing EDS' business in the mainland and South Korean markets. He has more than 25 years of sales leadership and management experience across the Asia-Pacific, most recently serving as managing director of Brocade Communications, Greater China.


Indaka Nanayakkara


Head of enhanced equities Asia


Macquarie Funds Management Hong Kong


Mr Nanayakkara joined the firm last year and is responsible for managing the Hong Kong enhanced equities fund and refining the quantitative techniques. Before joining Macquarie, he worked for CSFB/Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette and at JP Morgan. He has more than nine years' experience in quantitative equity research in Asia-Pacific and across global emerging and developed markets.


Veronica Ho

Ms Ho will be responsible for research, development and the implementation of investment strategies, optimisation and portfolio analysis for Asia. Before joining Macquarie, she worked for CSFB/Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette in Hong Kong.


Derek Mak

Mr Mak manages the Hong Kong trading process and risk management systems and will play an important role with the Macquarie regional team conducting ongoing research and development for all Asian equities products. Before joining the firm, he was an investment consultant with Towers Perrin in Sydney and Singapore.
