Angela Leong On-kei, a close friend of Macau casino tycoon Stanley Ho Hung-sun, was fined HK$10,000 by Western Magistracy yesterday for delaying the disclosure of an interest in Fairyoung Holdings. Ms Leong's company Maxwick Investment was also ordered to pay a fine of HK$10,000. The Securities and Futures Commission said on August 7, 1998, Maxwick lent HK$60 million to Angklong, which pledged 140 million Fairyoung shares as collateral. Ms Leong and Maxwick should have disclosed their interests within five days but they did so on March 19 last year - 3.5 years later.
